Lock up Garage -dehumidifier recommendations? False Economy?

Hi. Considering getting a lock up garage for the Merc and was wondering if anyone has used a dehumidifer in their lock-up? Is there one with re-chargeable batteries that could do the job? I wont have access to power.

Garage will be around £12 a week but is it false economy not to put it in with specialist long term storers out there?

I used a dehumidifier but found it froze up in winter thereby rendering it useless. Have you thought about a Carcoon? They will run from a 12v battery I believe.
