Hello all,
I've been advised by a friend that the pooled expertise of those on this forum should give an answer to a question I have.
The question is... what vehicle does the windscreen shown below come from? It has been at the back of a carport since at least 1965. It has no chips or cracks and no numbers, dots, printing or any other kind of code on it. It is about a quarter of an inch thick and I am guessing it is toughened.
I assume that I have placed the windscreen the correct way up.
Many thanks in advance for any help given.
G.

I suggest that the glass is sitting on the roofline edge rather than the bottom body edge. Looking at the shape, the long curve, currently up in the air is likely to sit on the body. It looks more like a rear screen with the very sharp pointed corners.
Any chance of another photograph sitting the other way round please?
There probably is a kite mark somewhere on the glass, either top or bottom centre or in the corners by the points. If it's a UK produced glass it is likely to carry a very faint pale white, almost circular, Triplex marking. This will probably have faded and you will need to look very hard to see it.
More pics and have another look for the marks please.

if you have a look at the triplex logo and look for tiny dots near the letters you can date the screen - this may halp with a specific period
