Hi folks, this is my first post. My names Mick I normally buy and sell classic Triumphs and mini's but this time I've got something a little different. Built by Avon coachworks on a Standard chassis, dry stored since 1962 but apparently the engine still runs! Original log book etc and a beautiful looking little car. I think that the Jensen brothers (FF and Interceptors) were responsible for the design.
I'm interested if anyone owns one or know much about them, very rare car apparently.

There was a recent two-part article in The Automobile (September & October 2011 issues) on the Standard Avon: http://www.standardmotorclub.org.uk/automobilesept...

So it's for sale. Any more details, or have you got a proper advert somewhere?
