I'm trying to find front brake cylinders for a Mk7 Jaguar.

I feel certain these same cylinders were fitted to other cars, perhaps even Land Rovers.

Does anyone know if there is a book or website for cross-referencing brake parts on various cars ?

If it's Girling stuff, I bought a CD Rom with all the old Girling references. Intention was to answer the same question for the Mexico, but it may be of use for the Jag.

I'll dig it out tomorrow and take a look if it covers that one.

Are they not the same as those fitted to the XK140?
If so you can almost certainly source them from someone like Guy Broad or SNG Barrat.

MPH, I think you'll find them the same as the MK1 with a fine self-adjusting ratchet on each cylinder. At the back of my memory is them also being used on Rover saloons like the 90 and 100.

I would try Paul Roach(RW774) for these. You can find his website on his profile on here.

You can get your existing one reconditioned, bored and sleeved with stainless steel.

Please ignor, the Girling references only go back to 1963, it doesn't cover the 1950's Jags....
