Sebring MGB GT V8

Been having loads of fun with my Sebring GT V8. The rear flares are the sebring items but the fronts are Mk1 Golf arches grafted onto the MGB steel wings. Engine is 4.8 Rover with standard 4.6 crank and 96mm forged pistons. Rolling road shows 336bhp @ 5800rpm.
How about a Sebring MGB/C Replica meet. Anyone interested. Maybe get together at the Castle Combe performance car action day on 28th April?

The "others" have paid for their track day and have as much right as anyone to go at the speed they want.
Looking at Mark's Brands Hatch video the vast majority (red RV8 excluded) kept to their line, then signalled and correctly moved to the right, letting Mark pass on the left.
With a great car like Mark's with lots of grunt you will always have to pick your way through slower traffic.
Castle Coombe sounds good, not as good fun as Spa though

its a great series full of great friendy enthuisists like our self with fantastic track manners great atmosphere my car is prob worst than yours for being modified there are a excellent variation of cars old an newish from mk1 escorts mgbs starions ford falcons even the ledgend joss ronchetti races with us

Hi and yes thats probably me, been doing Castle Combe track & action days since 2001. Car has undergone improvements every winter so have gradually got quicker. Im into the high 1m17s which to be honest is plenty fast enough to have big fun.
I have no plans to race due to cost and risk.
Have been having a few problems with oil surge in fast right hand corners, even with a trap doored & baffled sump, so have invested in an Accusump to try and combat the problem. Ideally would like a dry sump but with space and cost limitations thats not an option at the moment.
Engine is out again for a gearbox rebuild and fresh bearings, also a few head bolt threads are dodgy so getting the while lot Helicoiled.
Looking forward to first trackday on March 26th at Silverstone, passenger laps anyone?
