Rust prevention

What's the best rust prevention treatment for the diy just now? I need to give my alfa spider 71 a top up. cavity's etc...

I use phosphoric acid. Try not to drop it on concrete though.

I use Dinitrol. Bilt Hamber do a good one too.

Difficult to tell if its achieved the goal as I did the job 6 months ago, but it all seemed excellent stuff.

+1 for dinitrol.

Relatively easy to apply but a dirty job. Just avoid getting it in your hair...........

I bought a kit that included everything required (shutz gun, disposable overalls, gloves etc)from rejel (no connection but I would happily recommend them for their service)

If you don't have one, it would be worth looking at getting hold of a compressor rather than trying the aerosol route.

Thanks for the tip.... I don't have a compressor at this time! But may not invest in one, it will be cheeper than replacing the metal work on my alfa!

Some of the aerosols are pretty good. One I used from Bilt Hamber had a long extension tube with a proper metal nozzle on the end which gave a goos 360 degree spray. The pressure is nowhere near a compressor of course and it works out more expensive.
