Jaguar MK2 Options Colours And List Price ?

Anyone have a 64 or 65 Sales Brochure that lists Optional Extras and prices , particularly for the 3.8 model .?
As far as I am aware, they were as follows :
A 9.1 ( E Type spec ) Engine could be ordered ( I have seen one with it's Original 9-1 Engine )
Manual Gear Box
Overdrive , or was this standard with a 4 speed car ?
A limited Slip Diff , or was this standard on the 3.8 ? Beleive it was on the S Type 3.8.
Reclining front seats ( by Reuter ? ) or Jags own ?
Was a heated rear screen available I'n the early 60s ?
Wire Wheels
Was Black an optional colour ?
Other colours
Fitted Lugage ?
Air Con ?
And
Any info much appreciated .

I believe (but am not certain) that overdrive was standard on the 3.8 in 1965 as this would have had the new all synchro box.
Limited slip diff was standard on the 3.8
Two types of reclining seats were offered (early and late cars). Not sure what year they changed the design.
Heated rear screen was an optional extra.
Wire wheels were an optional extra.
Masons Black was an available colour.
Loads of other colour were available - any particular one you are interested in ?

There were two brochures for the Mark 2, sadly undated. I've looked at the one with synchro on first as this must be the later one, but I can't confirm it is '64 or '65.
A manual non overdrive 'box was the standard fitment, even on a 3.8.
Colour combinations were:
Cream Red, light blue, dark blue interior
Warwick Grey Red, dark blue, light tan
Sherwood Green Suede green, tan, light tan
Dark Blue Red, light blue, grey
Black Red, grey, tan, light tan
Carmen Red Red, beige
Opalescent Silver Grey Red, light blue, dark blue, grey
Opalescent Silver Blue Dark blue, grey
Golden Sand Red, light tan
Opalescent Dark Green Suede green, beige, tan, light tan
Opalescent Maroon Maroon, beige
All these colour combinations were standard, so it doesn't look like the opalescent paints were an extra charge.
The brochure gives no hint as to options other than a radio!

This one was first registerd in Nov 64, but apears to still have a the Moss gearbox with Overdrive. The All Syncro Gear box must have been fitted in early 65 to the Mk2 , although i beleive the E Type had it by now in the first 4.2s
I am waiting Heritage Cert for all her Options.

As I said, my mate had a 1965 "C" reg 3.4 Mk 2 with a Moss gearbox. I'm not sure if it was early or late 65 though. I guess it must have dated from the transaition between Moss and all synchro.neutral 3 said:

The all synchro box was introduced in September 1965 from chassis number 234125 (rhd)This one was first registerd in Nov 64, but apears to still have a the Moss gearbox with Overdrive. So the carmen red one for sale on the following link must be a colour swap, since it's got a black interior: I didn't think it looked quite right with that combination. It's also not been licensed or SORN'd since December 2008. Perhaps that's why it's so relatively inexpensive for a 3.8 MOD with chrome wires, PAS and factory a/c. As a car / E Type And MK2 Jag mad boy in the mid to late 70s , i kept a note pad of all the MK2 Jags Reg Nos that I saw, usually on the A127 on the way to / way back from my Grandparents who lived I'n Hulbridge.
I well remember that MK2 Jags were still a fairly common sight then. I still have that note pad somewhere.
Can't beleive that it has taken me so long to buy a MK2 . And a 3.8 Manual , the Model I Always Wanted !!

Orig distributor was Henlys London, think their depot was at Wembley ?
Original Dealer was Clarks Of Pirbright, Surrey. Anyone have a Jaguar Dealer list for the early 60s ? They then suplied her to F.Smailes Ltd , Chertsey Surrey.
Also anyone have a price list from that period ? A 3.8 MK2 2 was around £1,900 i beleive ?

As someone who has been involved with brochure production, I know how difficult it is to produce one without an error in it, so I assume that's what it is!!
Yes has to be a brochure error , Carmen Red with black was a common / Usual E Type S1 Colour combo at that time.
Asuming that Carmen Red with a Red interior was also sometimes specified as 848 CRY the Italian Job E Type roadster has it, assuming that it was not changed to red when PP restored it .

Just been on Saloon Car Data , there are aprox 184 RH Drive 3.8 Powered Jag MK2s listed on there. And over 200 3.4 Cars listed .
I well remember MK2s were a fairly common sight still the mid to late 70s . I know of five 3.8 Engined ones Inc my one, that are probably Not listed on that site but they Must still be a Rare car.
