Film Making - Warning

Hi All,
I was approached over a month ago to ask if I would be able to get involved with some filming in my 1950's Standard. The film is "King of Soho" which tells the story Paul Raymond. I was able to juggle work commitments so I went along for two days on the promise of a payment and expenses. The money is not much, but it will cover the running costs for the car for a few months.
I enjoyed the couple of days that I was on set, and the filming process was very interesting. However, it is now a month later and I still haven't been paid either my fee or expenses (petrol, congestion charge, etc). So, if you get approached to get involved in filming for "King of Soho" or any other film, it would be sensible to ask for payment on the day....
I'll continue to badger them, but I may have to just put this down to experience.

No - it was all done verbally. The first day's filming was very short notice. I signed a release while I was there to say that they could use the images and the agreement was that the payment would be transferred to my bank account after the event. I think your last line may well be telling, then.
You could always follow the crew around with an air horn for a while....

Mmmmmmmm. Raymond played by Steve Coogan. That would be the Steve Coogan who stood up in front of the Levenson Enquiry and crucified the News of the World for their lax standards and criminal ways?
AND Chris Addison, the stand up, who is so amusing about the dishonest habits of our politicians?
AND the David Walliams who is such a good man that he swam, personally and without a PA, the WHOLE of the length of the Thames? For Charity? SURELY none of them would be associated with a scammy film production company?

My mum's husband does this for for a living, and I know for a fact he had several cars out in that movie ( I think he was filming on Easter Sunday ?? ). If you PM me a few specifics of who you spoke to and what you expected / you were told before hand , I will have a word with him and see if he can advise. Lee
Always best to get "the deal" sorted with confirmation in writing or by e-mail before hand.I was introduced to MGM Cars of Elstree who provide cars for filming.Spent a very interesting day on location filming "Watson & Oliver" for BBC2."Full English" when I arrived at 8.30 and a very nice lunch, all provided in the mobile canteen.The fee I asked for was agreed days before the shoot and transferred to my account in about three weeks.I would be very happy to do that again.Plus I saw my pride and joy on telly!!.
