In 10 days time it will be 9 years since I took on what has turned out to be the biggest car project I've undertaken so far, and probably ever will. I've had one car project or another on the go, without a pause, for the last 30 years, so I went into restoring a sub £10k 1960's Maserati with eyes wide open, looking back I must have been staring into the dark. I love following the progress of projects, especially classics, on PH so I reckon its time to give it a go. I'm also hoping it will give me a much needed injection of enthusiasm as keeping motivation on the boil year after year can be difficult.
So I intend to post pictures perhaps once a week in chronological order till we get up to date.

30th October 2003, YWT 444G arrives at the Chadspeed garage.

Looking forward to this, have loved Maseratis since 'Supercar Classics' serialised the restoration of a Khamsin back in the '80s. scratchchin Actually that's probably what hooked me into this nonsense.

Can't wait. I love old Maseratis, although wouldn't necessarily go for the white wall tyre look!

My Grail car, one of the most pure, beautiful cars ever to grace the roads.

It doesn't look too bad actually but how is the body? Get ready to be on good terms with Chris Mcnabb of Bill McGrath for parts though... biggrin

Can't wait for the next pictures

Is it next Friday yet? smile

As my car has been in my garage for over 10 years waiting for me to restore/recommision it then I'll follow this with interest. My pictures will be one a year approx at the current rate...

Stunning car and I too look forward to seeing the photos each week.

Immediately your registration number looked "familiar". Back in the 70s when I was racing my MGB (yes, I'm that old) I regularly competed against a very quick MGC. I used to follow him closely as you can see from the photo taken at Silverstone in June 1978.

His registration YWT 666G - spooky or what ?? eek

The other familiar thing of course is the overall styling of the car - so reminiscent of my own DBS, even down to the front wing vents hehe
