Just back from 1200 mile trip through France, first big trip in the car, no problems at all.
Then, about 30 minutes from Portsmouth ferry, old guy in Morris Minor reverses into back of the car in a car park. Then doesn't even get out of his car to look at his own car, just says "oh I thought I hit something" when I went over and told him he had just reversed into my car.
Have some sympathy as had been on same overnight ferry and his windows, like mine, we're pretty misted up
Hopefully, just needs bumper brackets adjusting to realign bumper ...

Sorry to hear re the damage, but those impact bumpers work well.
You have just bought the fantastic Key Camp memories flooding back re my 86 3.2 and the great Holliday to Britany in Aug 2005 . 4 up , loaded to the hilt , very hot, that car never missed a beat .
And I can still see the frog in his hot yellow Seat Hatch in my rear view mirror, who hassled me for over 200 miles on the return journey. 132 plus and he would disappear only to re apear when I eased off.

Er,.....I don't wish to be harsh, but, if you are "gutted" about a minor parking ding with almost no damage ensuing, how would you feel if something important happened?
In the main gassing room, there are daily threads started by people who wish to perform hari kiri and/or commit genocide on their neighbours because someone has lightly scratched or scuffed the paint on their Eurobox, but I would say that even groovy old cars are still just cars. Anyway, I hope the car is fixed up soon and brings you much fun.

I suppose 'mildly irritated by minor parking ding' (nice pun BTW) doesn't sound so good as a threat title (though it would be rather more informative).singlecoil said:

Such is life. I drove my Interceptor 3,300 miles around Europe in hot weather, with only one and a half fans working for most of the trip, and then it broke down the day after we arrived home. Go off and do another Euroblat soon!
If you do that in Greece this summer then you'll pump so much cash into the economy that they won't need a bailout
