I do not think it is a scam it is probably a repossession of assets sale with a very low starting price to get people bidding.

The car is worth between £80,000 to £100,000. If the photos are of the actual car then it is a real boxer.

Banks tend not to use Hotmail, the advert IS a scam

When I clicked on the e-mail seller my system would not let the page load the e-mail address.

How come the correct telephone number for the bank though.

It's just a scam, if it was an invitation to bid for the car, the advert would say so . . . . . .it wouldn't be opening with the £70 fact that the £100k car had just had a new battery fitted!

The phone number to a random Italian bank, is just a red herring that adds a very little something to the advert, to help the scammer pull in the naive.
