Does any ones classic insurance include track days? Possibly looking to change away from Haggerty after the dramas of doing “parade” laps at Classic Lemans without insurance.

My policy with Norton Heritage does but only if the TD is arranged by a recognised car club. Not 100% sure but I think the policy excess increases dramatically whilst on track. Doubt I`ll ever take my Vit on track in anger as I would almost certainly bin it or kill it.

Just looked at Norton Heritage but cover is for UK tracks only. Unfortunately my car is too loud for any track days and I don’t really want to change away from the original exhaust. I’ve two years to sort the problem out, that’s if SHMBO will let me go again! When I spoke to one of the track day specialists they quoted an excess of £10,000 but then never returned any calls! I enjoyed, in a terrified fashion, the parade laps but after seeing two serious shunts would not do it again without good cover.

Mine covers me Europe-wide for track days. I use Locktons - not the cheapest but then I need a 12 month green card so there isn't much choice. They insure the car with Chubb.

Footman James were reasonable for me last year. Big hike quoted this year so they lost the business to MSM. More than ever it seems you have to shop around now to get decent cover at a half decent price.
