Why do magazines like Octane spend considerable amounts of money getting superb photographs of their feature cars (either on location or in the studio) and then print them over 2 pages so that the centre section of the pic disappears into the fold of the magazine. I'd much rather see the pic turned and printed on a single page, albeit somewhat smaller - but I guess that doesn't fill as many pages . . .

I find it frustrating enough - how the photographers must feel to see their work ruined in this way I can only wonder.

Probably so that (at some point, if they don't already) they can sell a nice print of them.

Agree it's infuriating. Could it be that most of those pics are taken in landscape layout while 1 page is portrait so you really lose the size and therefore impact by just reducing to 1 page?

So turn the pic 90 degrees - I'll happily turn the mag to see the pic. biggrin

It's a very good point really but far too simple and obvious!
