Modern Classics
Discussion
As we have seen with the Beetle, 500 and mini modern classics are very popular . My question which comes next in your opinion . For me it would be the Morris minor with the wooden estate and that cool bonnet bulge it would be awsome to see a modern car company buy the rights and drag it to the 21st century

It wouldn't, because then it would look like the piece of sh!t the Germans have made, the Mini Countryman, or Clubman, or whatever they are called. That would ruin a lovely moggy traveller.

I love my Moggy traveller, Moggington, he's a riot to drive, easy to look after and very useful.
I'd rather not see some kind of Retro pastiche, however, I would like to see the principles of simplicity applied to a medium sized modern estate.
Also, it wouldn't sell. I'd rather not see some kind of Retro pastiche, however, I would like to see the principles of simplicity applied to a medium sized modern estate.
Everyone has become too used to feature comforts and the perceived quality of all modern cars to give any mod-cons up.

Nearest thing Ive found to simple motoring is a 10 year old, pov spec, petrol Mondeo.
Can you imagine BMW/ford/Nissan etc releasing a 3series/Mondeo/cashing-in-Kai with nothing but abs & seat belts as standard?
A simple 1800 petrol engine, keep-fit windows and god forbid.... No TCS or AC
