My 240z is having some TLC, it'll be long term.

will it cause any chassis damage at all? its hard mounted on bumper mounts, no signs of flex or groaning anywhere.

Is there a time limit? it does get moved around.

As a 240 owner I'd be interested to see this progress....looks like a solid car

Yes it is, however if you look I now believe you'll always find! I've a few pin holes in the floor between the underseal/paint and the factory sound matting on the inside. The worse bits are the floor rails which have are showing signs of lots of jacking abuse, they'll be replaced just as they look so bloody ugly.

No cross bracing in the doors, Its not a rot box so nothing really getting cut out(sills etc).

How are you getting on with yours?

That does look tidy for a Z, are you sure you have enough gearboxes?

Well mine like yours is very solid..........needed no welding, just took the whole front end apart and sandblasted and painted the original colour.

Great cars though.....nice and nimble.

Its not a UK car that's why, like VPR's its a 1970 car from the states.

Gearboxes, that's me not making my mind up. One is the 4 speed out of the car, the other a UK 5 speed and the last(which i'm going to use) is a modern(ish) one out of a s14A 200sx.
