Perhaps the wrong forum, but since we have all taken memorable and forgettable journeys in these black wonders it is sad to hear that Manganese Bronze has thrown in the towel today, and manufacture has ended. I hope a saviour can be found for these iconic forms of transport. life wouldn't be the same without them.

Indeed. British Leyland were a bit daft selling it to Carbodies all those years ago - it's 'only' a taxi, but it's also iconic.

I wonder who owns the rights to the FX4? That was the proper one, not the melted wellie that replaced the awful Metrocab.
