Loose the power bulge, spoiler and fit a Skyline engine (at least there's a tenuous family connection). Definitely keep the Austin grille; unless it gets a VDP grille of course.

I said black. Silver would look crap. Silver and black are quite different.

There aren't many classics that suit metallic paint.

I would want it in a single colour, the brown my Dad had on his 3-litre would be ideal, sort of really messing around with a colour totally unsuited to the mods. But I would prefer a standard car personally.

I remember my Dad got one of these as a courtesy car back in the early Seventies when I was very young.

We used it to go to Cornwall for the weekend, my old man's only recollection of the car was that it used more oil than petrol.

My Dad had one for a couple of years or so and had the same oil issue. I remember stopping on long journeys for him to put large amounts of oil in even if it didn't need petrol.
