The Classic Car chap's Christmas list

I thought this may come in handy as Mrs. Benjj keeps asking me what I want for Christmas I'd I'm loath to tell her it's an alloy bodied 300SL or nothing...

So, this is on my list:

BBC's 'The Great Chase' DVD of the 1988 Pirelli Classic Marathon.

I got hold of a copy from the guy that posted it on Youtube.

My dad did the event in '88 in a Cortina GT so I got it for him as a gift.

Lady S is getting me a new "decent" torque wrench. I had to send her a link to the specific item as she didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about

I was out all day yesterday so I e-mailed my O/H a dozen or so links to specific items on specific web sites. One web site was Ebay and this morning I found I'd bought several things I knew nothing about - neither had they been paid for

Dear Santa

I've been very good this year could I please have for Christmas one or two of the following.

A bottle of gravitex stonechip in light grey.
A half a litre of BMW Cirrus blue.
A new inspection lamp for rolling around under the Keeble.
A 4BA helicoil tap.
A set of wheel dollies.
A lump of stilton.
A bottle of port, cheap is fine, I wont know.

Any of those would be lovely.

Here are some more good ideas:

A good radio/MP3 player - for the garage
Car art to hang on the wall of the garage. For example, the artistic posters of the Goodwood Festival of Speed are lovely, or the nosecone of a Super Aguri F1 car
An air compressor - you know you want one - and there will be a new air tool to acquire for several birthdays and Christmases to come


And here is a bad idea:
