Car ID please . . .

Found these pics of two cars that my Grandfather (in one of the pics) used to drive as a Chauffer for a Doctor in Southampton.
We think one of the cars may be a Buick – can anyone confirm and identify the other one?

I'd concur that the first is a 1924/1925 buick:

ETA: I knew the second was "off brand" and did some guessing. I reckon its a mid 20s packard, this is a 1925 model:


Note the hard lines along the edges of the hood and the swageline in the front fenders, quite distinctive. But the body doesn't have the same swage line. Earlier cars appear to have this, but it doesn't carry on through the cowl...
It could be a local variation of the body, Canada for example sometimes had slightly different bodies to the USA.

Don't think it's a Packard - been suggested elsewhere that it is a Willys ?

Amazing, someone was copying between packard/willys then. This is a '25 willys



So there is your answer. So similar, even down to the swage around the louvers on the engine cover and the one on the fenders.
Roof doesn't match the '25 though, nor do the headlights or the fact that your picture shows no headlight bar. All late 20s Willys had them from what I can see.

Thanks for the picture If you look closely at my pic I think you can see the Headlight bar running along the top of the number plate.

I've just seen a photo on Google Image with the same script on the radiator - indeed it says Willys.

I think it's a Willys Knight, with a similar radiator badge and knight "hood ornament" to this one.
