Autosports circa 1966 on

Can anyone help? I'm trying to track down the history of a MK1 Lotus Cortina I owned circa 1968. I bought it from an advert in Autosport. Does anyone know anyone who may have a set of Autosport magazine from 1967 on I could trawl to try and find the advert?

Hi. Yup, it was a MK1 Lotus Cortina, reg no HLO 1C. Uniquely it was RED. I'm guessing it was circa 1966 on that I bought it. The car was located in the Romford area. Definitely bought from an ad in Autosport.

Hang on there! Are we talking 66,67 or 68? Are we talking private or trade advert? I mean, I remember from which garage I bought my car in 1968 - Wadham's Portsmouth. I just need to narrow it down a bit please.

Ok, the story. Back in Circa 1966/67, I bought a secondhand MK1 Lotus Cortina, HLO 1C, color red, I'm pretty certain from an ad in Autosport, in the Romford Area. Sold some years later to a friend, who sold it on when he emigrated to Aussie land. The car has now surfaced, and is being restored (not by me). I'm trying to help the guy with it's history. He has copies of the owner record from the DVLA, but they're not complete, and have errors. So I'm trying to track down the guy I bought it from. Long shot I know, but maybe !!!
