MK2 RS2000 DARK BLUE WANTED
Discussion
My ideal ( along with White ) colour for an RS2 as well. An obnoxious acquaintance had a V reg one in the mid 80s in that Blue, but it was never a common colour. I well remember Venetian Red, White and Yellow as still being fairly common back then.
I very reluctantly sold my Venetian Red one in 2010, it took forever to sell and far too cheaply. They are silly money now, well over valued, but good luck with your search.

Your about 25 years too late.
I was the proud owner of UGO 800W a midnight blue Mk2 RS.
Back in the day I used to get no end of grief from my friends as it was a bit "special".
Special in the fact that the first owner did not order it with the Custom Pack, so it had a light blue Sport spec interior i.e. non Recaro seats etc. Used to get ribbed all the time about it, and strangers would ask when were the original "nice" seats stolen from it...........
Other odd ball colors I remember include a burnt orange shade on the later V & W reg cars, and on some early cars (R & S reg) in a very pale blue. White was also a rare site to see as well.
I'd love another Mk2, but not paying 10k for the privilege today.

If you are from the Hampshire area I think I remember seeing that car a few times at RS meets, certainly was a rare colour that stuck out even then. Our motley collection( 1988-91) included 3 black customs, one venetian red (mine) and a mate with a tuscan beige custom. In a similar vein to your car the first owner of the beige car had the optional full Ford Group one engine fitted with 44's etc, struck me as odd in such a "old man" colour car.I was the proud owner of UGO 800W a midnight blue Mk2 RS.

Used to see a few white ones around Portsmouth plus one in that terracota colour you mentioned, always wanted (and still do) a nice signal orange custom but think I may have to wait a few more years yet!

Any one know if the White 78 Non Custom that was used by Martin Shaw in the Proffesionals has survived ? This car had a very unusual glass ( sliding ? ) Sunroof fitted to it. Never seen an RS 2 with one like it before.
It was a "pre" Custom as there was only 1 model up until the Custom and base modelintroduced in late 1978.
Rumour has it that PNO 641T was not the real reg anyway and so could be anywhere now.

I had one of those bought from the first owner in 1984 in Signal yellow, the seats were terribleSpecial in the fact that the first owner did not order it with the Custom Pack, so it had a light blue Sport spec interior i.e. non Recaro seats etc. Used to get ribbed all the time about it, and strangers would ask when were the original "nice" seats stolen from it...........
as i had previously had a 1978 with rolltop seats which were way more comfy.
I bought a pair at an RS breakers in Peterborough and put them in it despite them not matching
the rest of the interior.
