Which classics are 'on the bubble'?

Prompted by looking for an M100 Elan. Approx. 6/9 months ago my Dad and I were looking to buy a tatty one of these to buy and restore: Small home brew paint booth, seats and door cards off to the trimmer, re-con the turbo, belts, plugs etc etc.

Have some fun in it for a couple of summers, sell it on and break even (hopefully)

All of this was predicated on a 2k/2.5k purchase price (saw a couple of likely candidates at the time)

All of a sudden the cheapest snotter seems to be 4k plus!

So.what have you been pondering on for a while that seems to have jumped up by 25/50% all of a sudden?

So youve not been watching the classic car price then, yes theirs a big bubble at the moment so its a good time to sell in my opinion.

M100 Elans are great cars. I wouldn't waste my time and money on a wreck. Just get a good one: there's plenty to choose from. Nice rust-free bodywork too and they're still not that old in classic terms.
