MGB GT 1974 Sebring Project

Started September 2012 as a project during my gap year, bought for 400 pounds no with no previous experience.
This highlighted area is the only reason it failed its MOT in January!!
Sebring kit arrives
Thinking back I should have used door braces to keep the body from warping when cutting this much metal out, fortunately the door still fits nicely.
The roof is fairly warped and will need some beating!
New door and all its fitting for 20 quid on ebay!
What I hope it will look like when finished!
After recently rolling my other car 3 times and landing on a fence post ive decided to fit a roll cage into my mg
Flaring the previous wings to add more support and creating a lip for the fibre glass to sit on
My welder decided to melt it self and give up on me

Managed to get a clean line after a few hours of adjusting
I was hoping the O/S would be in better condition.. but unfortunately its worse!
Nice bit of patch work to rivet the fibre glass to!

Gee ! You do like welding, don't you? If I were a Greenie I'd be wondering about the impact on the environment of all that welding gas and wire you've used.
On the other hand, that's a major task you've undertaken, and it looks like it's coming on well. More power to your elbow (and your MIG) and I hope the outcome matches your dreams.
