Re-Taxing and No MOT
Discussion
Hi,
Just a quick heads up to save you sitting on hold to the DVLA...
I've just tried to re tax my tax exempt Austin 7, the MOT has expired and its in the pre-60's bracket so doesn't need a new one (I will get it done anyway, but was going to leave that until the weather improves)... anyway if you have no MOT the online and telephone systems currently can not deal with it... you will have to go to a post office, who apparently can deal with it.
Good luck,
Ru

I have taxed a car on line with no mot. It had been taxed as hitoric. I tried it with another car that wasn`t registered in the log book as historic so had to go to the dvla to change the classification. No problem, got the tax disc there and then. Only now have to get the car to start and stop!
