Guigiaro DB4GT Aston Martin ‘Jet’ - errrr?
Discussion

"The ‘Jet’ is presented in concours condition, and has 12 prestigious awards to its name including First in Class at Pebble Beach and the Hurlingham Club, plus Best in Show at Villa d’Este."
Said is this yuk could go for 4 Mln . . . Is it me or is this a abomination of the worst kind?
Looks like a Lusso which'd ran into a Corvette . . . Sorry if I upset you guys.

Speaking of Astons, saw a DB6 on the A90/Forth Road Bridge yesterday afternoon. Seemed to be running a bit rich!
Pebble Beach, Hurlingham......
The buyer won't care what it looks like, just that it's a passport to rub shoulders with the high and mighty. Such is the rarified world of collector's cars at this level.
Oh, it's OK, but I agree a 250GT floats my boat better, but then an early E-type coupé is beautifully proportioned. The only difference is about 50,000 more E-type coupé's were made really, so it's common as muck.

Don't bite dear fellow. I was only using hyperbole in my reply. An E-type is an E-type, and you have quoted a less common example, but then I could quote back an outside-lock FHC RHD, of which but four were made. |To the vast majority of the great unwashed, and E-type IS just that, and they can't differentiate between one sort and another. Everyone asks if my flat floor has a) a V8 or b) a V12 engine for example. Here's chassis #2, found famously by a friend 30 years back blocking a hole in the hedge to stop the animals getting out. Much early racing history too. I reckon about £300,000 in today's insane world, which is about 8% of the Aston's value. Common as muck, these E-types.

The Aston vaguely resembles a Fiat 8V Ghia Supersonic. I expect the Aston will go for more than £4m (and rightly so) because DB4 GT Zagatos could go for £6m and they're 20 times as common.
Zagatos always command more than Bertone designs for some weird reason. Most of them are fugly. That said, for the shoulder-rubbing bulls
t reasons mentioned above, you're probably right. I can think of many more and prettier things to do with £4m.I agree with a few others on here, while a decent looking cars it's all too much simply a generic Italian coupe. I would take a nice DB4 or DB4GT over that any time. Not bothered about Hurlingham, my uncle was secretary there years ago so I've been many times and in any case I don't have any red trousers!
