Selling my E type?

I think I've concluded that I'm going to sell my e type. Since I bought the Keeble I really don't see the need for the Jaguar. I've got a total of 7 cars and I fancy thinning out a bit. There's another boat project waiting in the wings and I would rather get on with that.

It needs an awful lot of work, but is a RHD, coupe, 3.8ltr matching numbers car with a very nice transferable number.

Where to advertise? I'm not a JEC or JDC member.

Yes, the thing is I have little idea of its value, I know what it owes me of course!

Its a good body shell, very little work needed, good bonnet, needs paint, there's a rebuilt engine, rebuilt IRS, new interior, new chrome wires with tyres and stainless exhaust. Needs paint and assembly.

If its pre 66 sounds like a good basis for an FIA race car. If so racecarsdirect is a good site

If you're not sure on value ask Coys or Bonhams to look at it.

I've had a flurry of emails form interested parties, much to my surprise. Clearly I need to spend some time getting it all together and detailing what is there and taking some pics.

I knew that might be a side effect, but one key issue is that I don't know if its 5 grand, 10 grand or 20 grand, kindly one trader has offered to adivse, of course, I know what it owes me and I do want to maximise what I get.

Having said all that, this week I was thinking of keeping it again!

Thanks guys for the advertising details - I didn't know they were free. I'm in the stripdown stage of an ex Calif S2 FHC and would love to find a buyer (so they can spec the car themselves) before it goes into paint.

I sought advice and was advised on the asking price, so it'll hit the market soon, I'll be a bit sad to see it go, but maybe I'll be driving something else!
