I thought this would be of interest to most of the chaps on here. Pics of brilliant footballers' brilliant cars, from the days before the likes of Balotelli and his stty camo Bentley.

Nice photos, but frankly some pretty bland fayre for well-known footballers. I think Balotelli deserves more credit!

Good to see that some things haven't changed though: like Phil Thompson having his Capri wheels nicked on a Liverpool housing estate. laugh

Never seen a footballer in an actual classic car though.

Amusing stuff. I think the entire England 1970 World Cup Squad were given Cortina 1600Es with consecutive registrations, sure I've seen a picture somewhere of them all with the cars and there used to be one of the cars doing the rounds of North West car shows 20+years ago.

Oliver.

Come on then, who's the bloke stood between Mullery and Stiles? He's in a West ham shirt and looks like Brian Dear but that would be too rediculous... and as a lifelong Hammers fan I can't work it out! hehe Villa? Burnley?

Good point, I was looking at the final squad names on Wiki not the initial squad. Coates didn't make it through... still got a Cortina though hehe

That'd more likely be 'Arry flogging 'em off after a year or so in some dodgy deal with a trader in Essex, as long as 'im and 'is Sandra get a bob or two. wink
