Upatdawn :- I would not be too sure about putting a Jaguar mascot up there on the bonnet they were a very popular ornament in those days and I actually installed a Jaguar 3.4 Mk2 6cyl engine & o/drive tranny in one of those Talbots for a customer back in 1965. My brother in law swore that he drove it at 125mph on the M5 (of course you could then quite legally) He was a bit of a lead-foot in those days but there were much fewer vehicles to contend with.
