don't potter about in it as that'll clog it all up, use it regularly to get it running and and to keep it that way and of course to enjoy driving it the more you use it the better it'll get and remain
use it to go the long way to work and better still the long way home from work via country roads, (re)discover country - and country pubs

[quote=pixelpimp]I was offered this little gem last year and simply could not refuse.
It's a 2 owner car with just 62,000 on the clock and after some serious attention to the brakes and a bit of bodywork, it now runs like a dream.
I've missed having classic to potter around in. Just lovely.
If its so good and you've missed a classic to potter around in why is it up for sale?

Spotted this on ebay the other day. A little confusing are you selling it?

Nice car though must be one of the very last left.

Personally I think the mods should take the thread down. Blatantly trying to seel his car on the site yet still trying to say how he misses a classic to potter about in. I note also he is a professional photographer too, so knows how to present the car. I call custard test on the so-called "offer" of the car and the bills for the work carried out. I do - and this is really true - know of a 1958 Le Mans car languishing 30 miles from me that the owner won't get out of bed to even try and sell though. He prefers it to "languish".
Wow some proper cynics on here these days.
Yes it's for sale and as I don't expect it to sell any time soon I will be enjoying the 128 as often as I can.
I've owned many of these Fiat 128s over the years and I know a good one when I see it.
This was my last one..

As I like to modify my fiats I didn't want to go over board with this one as its just too original, otherwise I'd be putting either a 1500 x19 or UNO turbo unit straight in. As I have a rally car project on the go already the 128 needs to go.
I don't feel the need to explain myself especially to the clown wanting receipts for the work carried out.
The MOT alone was over £1300 and that was with extensive sourcing of parts myself.
I will make a loss on the car because I put it back on the road for the fun of it

my wife's first car was a Fiat 850 coupe, less than ten years old when she got it and it had a tin of Dulux the same colour as the car in the boot along with a hole when I pointed out the rust, it also had a recent MoT with it which I think must have been one done over the phone
£1300, pah, when you can count the costs in hundreds instead of thousands you know things are getting better
