Just spotted on Car and Classic, described as needing body restoration but doesn't look too shabby.

It's up for £4600 if anyone is interested, which seems cheap.

The advert says needs brake and body work. As a Fulvia owner I know how much this can cost and we're talking phone numbers. Its probably priced fairly depending on how much work is needed.

I didn't realise they could be a bit of a money pit. Lovely looking car though.

What would this go for in good condition?

I looked at a later one with the same problems a couple of years ago. It was £6k, but as the bodywork was suffering from bi-metallic corrosion and Zagato panels aren't an off-the-shelf item the quote for bodywork alone was another £6k, which just didn't make it viable. Probably the same here. Also the ad is a bit short on details; the one I looked at was a 1.6 and this isn't specifically mentioned. Should all Sports have that engine?

The 1600 engine was only fitted to s2 models. this car is a late s1 which is known as s1 1/2 as it will have a steel bodyshell- the early s1 were all aluminium.
