Austin 7, I guess!!
Discussion
The wife snapped this on Sunday in Dublin.

I grew up in the village where part of the Ards TT took place. If only we still had something like this today even a vintage run.
Found an interesting page on this just today http://www.derek-beattie.comxa.com/ards-tt-03.htm

It's an Austin 7 special, telescopic dampers and other "modern" stuff on there. Not sure I would want to drive it in the dark with the headlights like that though!
Ulsters, (and Ulster replicas) are much better looking IMHO, I'm a bit biased because I have one.
It will quite happily keep up with modern traffic up until about 70, but it's so small that I wouldn't want to go on the motorway in it anyway.

This is another Austin 7 special I had for a short time in the 60's which was more suited to going off-road in motor trials we called :- mud-plugging ! gave up on this sport because I did not like the taste of mud in my teeth
I hate to question you, but are you sure that's not a Dellow?? It looks ford pop based to me . . rolymo said:

The product of the talent of two pals :- Ron DELingpole and Alan LOWe(get-it DELLOW?) built in Radpanels bodyshop at TBC buildings, Kidderminster. I lived just down the street and practically lived in that shop when I was a kid.In fact their bodyman Mr Bill Spragg helped me build my own Ford 10 special in a similar style. but this Austin 7 trials car was several years later
We were quite ingenious back in those days,we would make "specials" out of anything that moved, we only had HMG (ministry of trans) construction & use regulations to contend with(which were mainly common sense)not all this current EU red tape with several volumes of Gobbledy-gook, arm & a leg in testing fees with weeks of frustration. Life was simple :- build it, pay approx £12 (a year tax)and get out there and enjoy. What I call an Austin 7 is probably a conglomeration of modified components.I often used LMB(Bellemy)IFS(ford based)with Girling brakes Etc. From memory (lost numerous records in a house flood)the engine could not exceed 750cc to meet competition regs so we were stuck with the A7 motor.I do believe that the wheels were actually Austin Big seven originally. Photo :- Ford 10 (1172cc)side valve special built around early 60's by self and Bill from Dellow.
