I am in the middle(well start) of a project(see mid life crisis). My wife mentioned would it be covered if it was stolen-well no I suppose. Is there an insurance for cars or parts seeing as I have no V5 and a collection of bits. There is no chassis number either which of course will become a ball ache when I have to deal with the DVLA.

Most classic companies will offer laid up or restoration cover.

You can get cover quite cheaply for kit cars in build with no registration number
