I went on holiday last week and took C&SC with me. I'm sure that it had a leaflet in it with a subscription offer of 24 months for the price of 12.

I managed to lose the leaflet though, and now I can't find any trace - did I imagine it?!

"Classic Cars" are doing 24 issues half price = 54 quid in total by direct debit, which is excellent value at GBP 2.25 per issue, delivered to your door before it hits the shops.

I took a similar deal out a couple of years ago. When renewal time can along recently, I rang them to ask if they would repeat that offer. They said no, but did quote a lesser 12 month deal, which I signed up for. frown

Had they just been open and offered the now available 24 issue deal, I would have gone with that.

No - you were right. I've just found the leaflet in my copy. Pay £56.40 up front for two years subscription - equivalent to buy one year, get second free.

Sadly, the offer ended on 4 July and when you go online the code has expired. banghead

Roughly on topic...

I see that Practical Classics are also currently offering a "2 years for the price of 1" offer, available until 7 August.

All these typos can be yours for just £54.60...

What confuses me when I renew my C&SC subscription each year, is that if I renewed for just 6 months, then again in another 6 months why does it work out cheaper over the year than when I renew now for the entire 12 months?

It's not much, just a quid or so, but I don't see Tesco selling 2 x 1 pint cartons of Milk for less than they sell 1 x 2 pint one!

Oliver.

Practical Classics has the same offer on until 7th August I think. Page 72/3 of this months mag. I am not sure I want the same mag for that long.

Just to update, I just bought this month's C&Sc and the 24 months for the price of 12 (£56.40) is available again until 10th Sept.

Promo code is M0913N.

And that's a zero, not an O!

Just ordered mine smile

I pay for my Classic and Sportcar sub with Tescos points. I can't remember how many points it was, but it seemed silly cheap when I did it.
