Already been covered elsewhere but when the vehicle was discovered two people bid to £28,000 then the owner decided to send it to auction to let everyone bid. He turned down £48,000 just before the auction. Wisely it seems. Although this is one of the 91 RHD outside lock cars it has no history, unlike chassis #4 which sold a few years ago for £63,000, but then that car was Lofty England's demonstrator, had been driven by numerous notables and was rather special, although a worse basket case than this one. I know - I spent five years trying to buy it!
