Looking for some advice on Mk1 Capri sunroofs.

My 1973 GXL has had a Airport 80 sunroof fitted to it at some point, in the 80s i guess! (originally it would have had a cassette style body coloured roof in place).

The Airport 80 sunroof is pretty knackered (rusty, scratched mirror glass and plastic hinges are broken so not really useable). Looking at replacing it with something similar to tired me over until i have the roof replaced with a non sunroof skin.

Any recommendations on what might fit as an interim/low cost? Cheers!

Picture attached of the sunroof as it stands..

I would throw it away and fit a Webasto type roof. These are bigger than the hole left by the 'pop-top'

Easiest to fit and therefore a DIY proposition, would be a Britax Sunway II roof. I dealt with a company called Boundary Garage, who were the agents for Britax but not sure if they'd still be in business.

Hi, sadly due to the size of the hole cut for the Airport80 (35 1/4") i dont think that type of roof is an option, seems britax go upto 34" max width. Not sure about other brands though?

A Tudor Webasto roof is probably wider but much harder to fit for DIY. I think R S Coachbuilts are the name for those.
