I've been watching this fascinating 28 minute film of Mark 2 Jaguars being made.

Amazing stuff, too many highlights to mention. The engine assembly was good, though, and the running in procedure.

The Browns Lane factory is but a memory, now covered in identikit starter homes.

You can do a tour of the Castle Bromwich factory today, but photography is banned.

Fabulous - when I went round Browns Lane in 1995 is wasn't like that - looking at some of the working practices makes you realise how much we've come on - most people retire from machine shops now with all 10 fingers!
