Having renewed my policy over the phone, the operator says "And that includes winscreen cover." Had to smile, cos honestly, their ain't a manufacturer that's gonna have a new windscreen for a 72 HC Viva.

I'm sure loads of others that are tickled by this on their policy.

If you have that statement in writing (or print it off)they will have to replace it if you damage it.I think if you search hard you will find one or can have one made?

You couldn't be more wrong about availability of new screens for classics. There isn't much that's not available either off the shelf or, at worst, with around six weeks lead time.

^ What he said ^

Tooling still exists for a lot of classics and even for the more oddball stuff, a mould can be made using the old screen, as long as it isn't a toughened one that's shattered!

I ask Auto Glass if they had a screen for my MGA.They check on the system list and found more than one.
