Discussion
Here's the link if anyone's mad enough to buy it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-venom-capri-hotrod-... - oh deary me, reminds me why Fords were never my thing....lol
Wow! That is something else isnt it?
The strangest thing (it was hard to pick just one) are the portholes in the roof above the driver and passenger. Really really odd.
Does any one have any info on the car from back in its heyday? It must have been something a bit special back then? Its very very 70s isnt it. Wow.

I love that interior, maybe not so hot on the exrerior but its great that its still around.

I am an avid Capri fan, and I have owned an Injection as a limited mileage classic for over 19 years. I completely agree with you over this particular monstrosity. It is an exercise in extreme bad taste. Dreadful!Just Great to see it's survived. A friend had a black customised pre face lift 3 Litre powered one in the early 80s and modified Capris were fairly common in the late 70s early 80s particularly at the Chelsea Cruise.
It Looks like since it appeared in the magazine that it's lost it's nice slot mags, the rear arches have been enlarged and it's been jacked higher at the back ?
It's Still on a Leeds / Yorks reg plate ( XMB ) so it hasn't travelled far.

If that had been done to an innocent Capri today it would be terrible,as it was done 35+ years ago I think its great that its still around.I drive a standard 2.8i and wouldnt dream of changing it.
Oddly tho
Definately a survivor from " A Lost Scene " . Custom cars were just so common back then but where have they all disapeared to ?
Anglias, Capris, Zodiacs, Consuls, Crestas and just so many Mustangs etc.
I remember seeing Capris that had the rear side window re shaped into a Porthole.
A guy called Hans Beamhardt was the Editor of Custom Car magazine in the early 70s, any one know if he is still around ?
