Looking through old photograph albums and found this in with pictures of my grandfather.
We have no idea if it's him in the picture but would be grateful if anyone could identify the car.

Mid-1920's Renault 6CV NN (6CV engine with the NN type chassis)

The 6CV was only 950cc - this car looks a lot bigger than that. Could it even be a 40CV?

All the "coal scuttle" Renaults of this period look very similar. It may be a 10CV, 15CV, 18CV, 22CV or 24CV.

The 40CV was usually in a huge chassis and had a 9-litre engine!

Thanks for the identification,
unfortunately we have no other info about the car or driver, other than mum thinks photo was taken in Wellington as Grandfather was head of the school.

If you can tell me roughly when that photo was taken I should be able to place it for you if it was taken at Wellington.

Also was grandfather Longden or Malim?
