Hi,

I am looking for secure, dry 'classic car' storage in the NW of England - web trawls haven't produced much so far - does anyone on here know of any possible locations?

Thank you,

Dom

Hi, thanks for the link, and I know I said NW, but...getting across to Manchester isn't ideal. It would be fine if I aimed to leave the car stored for several months, but I'd hope to be using it weekly when the worst of the salt has gone. Preston, Fylde coast, Lancaster are all within easier reach.

Thanks for the reply though.

Hi, should have read the info more carefully - they have a facility near Preston - much closer to home - thank you!

Yep, Preston too, look like quite a reliable outfit. 15pcm for indoor storage looks very competitive too.

The trouble is that the best secure locations are very low profile as the best security is nobody knowing where something is.

I gave my collection to a company that won't even tell me where my cars are and won't give them back on the basis that I may be able to tell where they have been stored.

Now that's pretty impressive security.

They just come and collect the cash every month - they've done so for years, never missed a month.

It must be a pretty big location though as they keep telling me they've got lots of room if I want to store any more cars with them.

Sounds like silly overkill to me or a proprietor who thinks he's James Bond. There are numerous facilities easily located containing millions of pounds worth of cars. It's not exactly difficult to make a facility secure and I'm not aware of any such place ever being robbed.

I have some space in my secure driveway.....storage unit. I would be happy to collect payment on a monthly basis.

I've had one or two spots in a storage place in Hambleton near Poulton for years now, very secure and easy access for just over £5pw.
There are some totally in door ones but I rent under cover open fronted,it keeps the car dry but theres plenty of air movement which I prefer,I put a cover on in the winter to keep dust and stuff off.
It must owrk as there are one or two very salubrious motors in the same row as mine.

For details the owners name is Bob and his number is 07763 386453 tell him Jody gave you the number.
