A bit of a plea...

Is there anyone in Thame (or near surroundings) who has a grease gun? I need to grease the wheel bearings and trunnions on my Scimitar...

My grease gun is down in Wiltshire and I am unable to get to it for quite a while..

probably because:

1) Does the Scimitar desperately need it's wheel bearings and trunnions greasing immediately? - Could it not wait until the owners grease gun can be retrieved?

2) Is the OP happy to accept the cleanliness of a grease gun that is not their own? - It only takes one bit of grit to start to destroy a wheel bearing!

3) You can buy a decent grease gun and grease for less than £20! - Most people would simply go out and buy another grease gun + grease!

Was hoping to use my plea as a bit of an excuse to see if there was any other local classic car owners nearby..

I'm in a new area and be good to meet and make some new friends...

Hello! I live near Lewknor, six miles from Thame. There is a classic car club in Thame but I have not yet joined it yet. Sorry, I do not have a grease gun. Do you not use the autoshop in Thame? Support the local biz and all that. I will look out for your Scimitar. You might see me in a blue Jensen Interceptor or a red Lancia Beta.
