Colleague at work and I were chatting this morning and he let slip that he has both an E type and an Austin Healey 3000 ( and a VW Camper van!) nice garage! However, restoration on the Healey has slowed down as he has aquired an original hard top for it but is struggling to find a suitable primer that will sit with what he thinks is fibreglass....anyone shed some light on to what he could use, make me look good etc etc

Thanks

The first primer onto GRP has to be an etch, but other than that any modern paint system will have a process for that material. I'd be a bit suspect of the bodyshop doing the job if they didn't know how to paint glassfibre!

Crikey, any bodyshop used to dealing with TVR and Lotus cars should be able to do this in a jiffy.
