So I was browsing the auction lists as one does when dreaming of what to do with your lottery winnings and came across this absolute abortion

It seems to be a "Series III" with the mechanicals, interior and wheels from an XKR.

According to the auction it can be yours for a mere £65k.....

Why oh why would somebody do that?!?!? Can't be worth a third of that guide price surely!

Edited.... here's the link http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/car-advert/jag...

Money doesn't buy you taste.

This illustrates that beautifully.

Yup, saw that too...absolutely ridiculous.

On the other hand, Silverstone's next auction is looking interesting.

Abortion? I think he means aberration . . . though it probably should have been aborted . . .

I'm not a fan of the Beacham variety but they are infinitely better than that abomination.

Or perhaps abomination? Actually I am sure this was on Pistonheads a few years ago and when some people laughed at the wheels others said it looked good confused

I dread to think how much cheese was involved if that was someone's dream.

Monstrous! Can't believe someone stood back and looked at the finished article thinking "yup, I'm happy with that". Enough to make you lose faith in humanity.

I don't know what to think of it, yes I agree it looks hideous, but I don't think it's the worst modified E-Type I've seen; there are far worse examples to be found in the States, some right boy-racer/hot rodded ones with engines sticking out of the bonnet and all kinds of ugly features added or things changed.

I think if he took the hideous mesh grill off, got rid of the chrome round the headlights and put wire wheels on it would look so much better!

Glad to see nobody is trying to defend this.

The best I can say is at least it was only an E-type and not one of the prettier ones.

I'm not too bothered about cars as common as this being butchered but one must ask the question - Why?
