Will it be OK to run most pre war tourers on unleaded do you think?

How many MPG would I get for average driving. Say Austin heavy/Bullnose/singer tourers cars of that type

Leaded petrol was not invented till about the 50's so generaly no worry's on that front. I have no issues with my 7, except pipes and carb parts (rubber bits)may be destroyed by unleaded. You will need to keep an eye on what sort of oil you use as some of the modern stuff can destroy bushes and such, but penrite will normally solve all those issues. As for consumption they probably wont be alot different to modern cars, my 7 will do about 50 mpg on a sensible run, but then it is a lightweight special.
