Anybody here going to this?

I've been for the past three years and enjoyed it but last year I thought that some of the exhibition areas were a bit sparse compared to previous years.
It's hardly cheap either at £26 on the door, or print your own ticket in advance at £20 plus a 'service charge'

Ever since the event started I've been involved with a club display (Sunbeam Lotus Owners Club) but we lost a packet last year (clubs have to pay just like anybody else) & the attendance was well down on both days, so we won't be there this year I'm afraid.

Lots of visitors last year moaning about the admission price.

I was there for the whole event last year as one of my cars was on display with HERO and I was working on the Mission Motorsport stand.

As a paying punter I'd have felt a bit short changed at paying full whack I must say.

Some cool kit there though.

I'm hoping to go, have been each year so far. Are there discount codes floating around for this as there are for others, or is it just a case of buying in advance to save a bit?

We've exhibited there the last 4 years but won't this time. It's a load of work getting one or two cars and a bunch of stuff up there. I always enjoy it but we felt that after seeing last year's attendance it's not worth it now.

Too feckin expensive and got my car stted up to the eyeballs last year cus I had to drive through a muddy field to park....wouldn`t bother if I were you.

I won't be going this time. 2013 was poor value for money IMO.

Agreed that it is not as good as a couple of years ago, but personally it marks the start of the season for me and I would rather be there ogling cars I cannot afford than actually working

It's local to me so I'll be going.... last time I went I was allowed to park the P6 in one of the sheds adjacent to the show itself (next to a drop dead gorgeous tangerine coloured 911), I hope it'll be the same this year.

I'm giving it a miss this year, sadly for the first time, but it isn't as good as it was and it's too damned expensive too. I don't expect it to be a cheap day out but by the time I've paid for tickets, fuel and food for the two of us it's £100+.

Went for the first time last year and despite the freezing cold it was a good day out (especially when the Firenza was thundering it's way round!)

I'm quite looking forward to this year, although will probably bring a few more layers this time hah.

I vaguely recall thinking the show was a little smaller last year, but still didn't have enough time to do all the indoor stands and still make it out to the rally stage.

I'm still trying to make my mind up, approx £50 could be put towards something more permanent, like that expensive Canon L lens I'm saving up for.
I believe Essen and Retromobile ticket prices are lower than Race Retro.

Changed my mind - I won £50 on the Lottery so decided to spend it on a couple of tickets, hope it'll be worth it.

Going Saturday with O/H. Hope it's not too cold this year, I hate cold.
