Luncheon Friday 4th July Le Mans Classic
Discussion
I've been mooting this for a while, so here, after some deliberation, is what I am proposing. The event will take place, if people are so inclined, at Ruaudin at L'Auberge des Blés d'Or, a restaurant a couple of miles east of the Mulsanne straight at 1300 on the above date. You can see it here on Google Street View:-

I don't want this to be a feeding of the 5,000, so I am limiting it to a relatively intimate number of 40 people, should that many wish to partake. The event will be by payment in advance of £20 per person and if we arrive at the number anticipated then we can't run a full menu but it will be fish or meat, but whatever I can assure you that you'll be more than delighted with the food. I've been extolling this place for years, and go often.
So, if you are interested, contact me by email or pm me for my bank details and I'll confirm when the money is received and tick you off my list here at home. If we reach the desired number and in the end can't attend, well I'm sorry, but no refunds but send others in your place. I'm also there to enjoy myself just like the next man and I don't want to spend my time with a calculator working out who drank a coke and who drank a bottle of wine. Also please note that the room I am booking is of a limited size, so there will be no booking for four and then turning up as eight for example. Before we actually start to collect money, I discussed with the owners wine and drinks and I guess it depends on what you all think. My first impression was to order rosé and red and jugs of water on each table and do an inclusive price, but let's have your ideas on the matter. All opinions welcome. If we come to a consensus, then I'll work with them and we'll go from there. Oh, and the forty names are all of you. I have already counted my party in! Look forward to your opinions.
