Article is self explanatory. I love the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia which has one of the greatest collections of iconic competition sports cars in the world.
Unfortunately I did not bring a proper camera with me on this visit, but did the best I could with the photos. Will post additional pics below. They do not do too much advertising, and when I went round the back they had five cars outside and were running them!....a 250GTO, 250 Testa Rossa pontoon, 250LM,375MM and an 875.
Smallish crowd, no ropes, no idiots touching the cars, no formality. Just car guys having a real,really good time. The cost of all this?....$12 admission. I did not have any special access, ( or maybe everybody who paid $12 got exceptional access)....

Actually the only restored car was the GTO. Plenty of wear on the TR and the LM is completely original..never restored at all. I'm not generally a fan of keeping cars locked up in museums, similar to keeping animals caged in zoos, but one thing I do like about the Simeone museum is the way they regularly take the cars outside and give demonstration runs.
Actually, thinking about it, it's more akin to the stuffed animals on display in a natural history museum, whereas Simeone is more of a zoo where the animals can be seen moving around, albeit in an artificial, and artificially constrained, environment.
Nice cars, btw. That pontoon TR is pure automotive porn.
