Purchased Austin 1100 for £140 - Help
Discussion
I have just for some reason purchased an Austin 1100 I have seen on facebook for £140
Don't know much about these cars own a mini and led to believe they are quite similar?
I know it is an 1100 A Series so will get it all running again nicely as have a few spare bits and pieces lying around buy in terms of welding will get help.
How much are these cars worth sorted as had it as a sort of project to sell on when sorted and hopefully learn more about bodywork in the process
Led to believe the whole floor and doors are in good order however subframe mounts, wings, and bonnet needs work the suspension is meant to be okay and then obviously brakes and stuff will need some work doing as well
Few pictures I have atm

It looks to be quite good from those pics
I learned to drive in one of these on an airfield when I was 5 (in the 70's) they were already rusty mot failures by then, your one looks to be a 1968 model it must have been stored in a dry garage to survive all this time !
Must be worth saving but has little or no value (yet).

How bad can it be? At least it was cheap!
Get over onto the Classics and yesterdays heroes forum and see what the collective wisdom is. Personally if I had just "accidentally" bought that I would be trying to work out how cheaply I could get the old lump through an MOT and back on the road.

This seems like one in usable condition as you say worth about £1100 and would not call this concourse looking at the description

Its quite a sweet little thing
It just depends how rusty it really is and what is missing to be honest...
End of the day if it is pretty f
ked will break it down and then scrap it as should easily get my money back and more
Hopefully I can save it however!
