I have avoided it up 'til now, but feel that I should watch tonight just to see what colour they paint it...........

Classic Car Rescue on Channel 5 or For the Love of Cars on C4?

I know FTLOC (the not quite as good as Wheeler Dealers but not a bad effort show) is doing a DeLoreon next. Have you confused the two or is Classic Car wRecking doing one too?

No, CCR are doing one too...queue lots of screaming and shouting when one of the mechanics mistakenly puts rubbish in the fuel tank. Or when Mawio backs into the newly restored car with an "Alfa Romero"

From the RT link it appears that the car is red when the CCR team get their ape-like hands on it... a RED DeLorean? Jesus, just when you think you’ve seen it all!!

I like the ‘carelessness in the garage results in an additional bill for a replacement window’ line (again, in the RT article): what highly amusing ‘gag/staged incident’ will they come up with this time?

I've tried the show and it's a pants. I know all these shows have there silly set ups but you need to be able to act just a little bit. It makes wheeler dealers look like Lawrence of Arabia.

car looked nice once finished, though 2k { valuation} profit for all those guys working on it and a trip to america for parts, poor profit on that.

I was surprised by the valuation, what was it, about 17k. the one fixed on ftloc sold for £40k at auction.

Of course there is a big difference between the dross that bernies lot produce and ants quality work.

I remember one car done by a show, they damaged it more before they started as it didn't look bad enough.

I found it quite funny but a bit worrying that 'car experts' knowingly put the wrong radiator in the car and plumbed it to work despite being told it wouldn't. Inevitably, the first test drive ended in a cloud of smoke.

No they had it valued at £13500, my estimate would have been 18-20k.

It's such a load of crap, the only saviour was an hour later Fuzz Townshend and Tim Shaw restored an RS1600i on Car SOS, that was well worth watching.

This.... a thousand times this.

Car SOS is a properly decent car restoration show: no staged arguments or disasters with parts bodged to fit. No temper tantrums from a fourth-rate presenter. It’s a breath of fresh air IMO.
