Hello. Just a call out for anyone who knows a decent bodyshop in north london.

Ideally a place that can work on things quickly and are reasonably priced.

Cheers
Ben

Do you want speed or quality?

I'd go for quality every time... Lemass Automotive are about 30-45 minute drive from North London, they're in Rickmansworth and do all my paintwork stuff... tom there is a good guy. Reasonably priced but with top quality.

Thanks for the reply. Both speed and quality and a good price I'm looking for. I'm looking for somewhere local for convenience sake but I'll look into Lemass Automotive. Thanks for that.

An 1980 mercedes SL. Couple of sections were resprayed prior to my ownership and there's a slight paint missmatch. Looking to get it corrected by a competent garage.

My local indie is Brownings Garage in Islington http://islingtonfacesblog.com/2013/10/30/miles-bro...

I have used them for years for various servicing requirements and they have been excellent. Earlier this year I used them for the first time for bodywork - the car came back flawless and it was half the price of the dealer quoted repair (modern Ford SMAX). In amongst the usual modern cars, they deal with plenty of interesting stuff (last time I was there they had a replica Cobra and a neat looking Mk 4 Cortina in the bay!) so maybe worth asking them?

If you do let me know and I can put a word in for you.

Euro American Car Services near Crouch End - the fastidious mechanic that looked after my BMW840 recommended them - I didn't use them in the end (sold the car to buy a family wagon) but went for a snoop around and their work looked very impressive ansd from memory the quote was pretty reasonable. Some great machinery to gawp at as well...

West London, they did my XK8, paint was as good as the factory with more shine, very good indeed.

Workshop looks rubbish, do not be fooled the results are great, just a very satisfied customer.
